Senior Umbraco / .NET Developer
80 DAYS is looking for a .NET developer to become a key member of the development team.
This position within the agency will play a lead role in the delivery and shaping of how we develop well-performing web experiences for our clients in the high end hospitality market.
**Based in Edinburgh, with 3/2 Hybrid Working**
Key Responsibilities
Back-end development
- Lead back-end architectural decisions, planning and prioritisation throughout the website development process.
- Scope and implement Umbraco back-end implementations, including API integrations.
- Work alongside back-end development partners to ensure quality and consistency.
- Problem-solve and guide development fixes and enhancements to support existing websites.
- Communicate development needs and plans with clients and their other technical providers when required.
DevOps
- Primarily responsible for maintaining our Hosting, Domain and Licencing solutions.
- Monitor Hosting platform usage and maintain a strategy for growth and expansion as needed.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work alongside Project Management, Design and Front-end Development teams to deliver the best possible service to 80 DAYS’ customers.
- Continuously improve the back end development processes.
- Assist in planning development priorities and projects.
- Delegation and quality assurance of development tasks.
- Train and mentor other developers in the team.
Skills & Experience
- Experienced developer in .Net and C#.
- Umbraco Certified Expert or Master and/or equivalent experience level.
- Proven track record building and maintaining Umbraco CMS websites.
- Solid understanding of front-end coding (HTML/CSS and JS).
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry needs such as cross-device, responsive layouts, and performance.
- Comfortable using GIT.
Experience of any of the following would also be an advantage: API integrations, CI deployments and MS Azure. Although experience of these is definitely not required, an interest in learning is.
